RULEVILLE — Michael Wayne Morris, age 37, passed away Thursday, June 29, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
Visitation was held 2-3 p.m. Saturday, July 1, at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Ruleville with Bro. Joe Young officiating the service held at 3 p.m. Interment followed at Drew Cemetery. Pallbearers were Joel Morris, Ron Rogers, Eli Bowlin, Bill Morris, Pete Pernell and Kalean Morris.
He was born Sept. 13, 1985 in Cleveland to Jimmy and Teresa Huggins Morris.
He graduated from Mississippi Delta Community College earning his degree as an industrial electrician. He enjoyed hunting, fishing sports, and was a great cook.
He is survived by his wife, Brittany Taylor of Benoit; two daughters, Lena Morris and Layla Morris of Benoit; son, Michael B. Morris of Benoit; sister, Jennifer (Donnie) Peacock of McGehee, Ark.; his parents, Jimmy (Teresa) Morris of Parks Bayou; and a host of nieces and nephews.
