HOLCOMB — Ricky Gene Allbritton, 63, of Holcomb, passed away Tuesday, March 14, in Grenada.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 16, at the North Shady Grove Church of God at Cascilla with Rev. John Meeks and Rev. Jerry Hill officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Thursday at North Shady Grove Church of God.
He was born December 11, 1959 in Tallahatchie County. Ricky was a self-employed electrician and was very skilled in his trade. He loved the Lord and enjoyed worshipping with fellow believers at the Grenada Church of the Nazarene, where he was a member.
In his spare time, Ricky enjoyed fishing, gardening and hunting. Ricky was also known as being the crawfish man having caught and cooked 100s of pounds of crawfish for friends and family through the years. He possessed a servant’s heart and will be lovingly remembered as a man who would help anyone in their time of need.
Survivors include his wife, Tammy Allbritton; daughter, Raven Ashley Allbritton of Holcomb; two sons, Jacob Hunter Allbritton of Jackson and Andrew Asberry Allbritton of Brookhaven; three sisters, Joann Trusty(James), Anna “Stella” Bardo and Landis Kendall (Tim), all of Cascilla; and a brother, Leslie Paul “Bubba” Allbritton (Nicole) of Charleston.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ida Mae and Harvey “Boonie” Carpenter and Paul and Bobbie Allbritton; and a brother, Glen Carpenter.
Chad Carpenter, TJ Carpenter, Steven Kendall, Zach Moore, Colton Kendall and Corey Kendall will honor Ricky by serving as pallbearers and carry him to rest in the North Shady Grove Cemetery.
