CHARLESTON — Rosemary Newsom Little, age 78, passed from this world to her heavenly home Saturday, April 8.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 12, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Adams Arbor Church of God of Prophecy near Charleston with the service immediately following. Interment will be at the Adams Arbor Cemetery thereafter. Newsom Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
She was born on November 12, 1944, to Russell and Frances (“Seby”) Newsom and was the oldest of three girls. She was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt to her family members.
Her enthusiasm for life showed in her sense of humor and love for others. She was a caring person and devoted LPN, working throughout her nursing career at Parchman Penitentiary, Marks Hospital and the Charleston Clinic.
She loved her family and her friends dearly. She also had a love for helping others, for fishing and for animals. Most importantly, she loved God and put her faith and trust in Him.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, James C. “Jerry” Little; her parents, Russell and Seby Newsom; a sister, Brenda Newsom White; and many relatives and loved ones.
She is survived by her son, Bishop James “JA” Little (Brenda); her daughter, Summer VonHolten (Kurtis); two grandsons, Andrew Little and Kolby VonHolten; her sister, Regina Maxey; a nephew, Adrian McCammon (Madison); a niece, Allison Hand (Darryl); a great niece, a great nephew, aunts, uncles and many cousins.
