TUTWILER — Sandra Paulette Yarbrough Williams, aged 75, of Tutwiler, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 22, at Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in Clarksdale.
Friends and relatives are invited to pay their respects during the visitation scheduled from 12 to 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, at Cleveland Funeral Home. A celebration of life funeral service will directly follow at 1 p.m. in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel interment following at Ashland Cemetery in Cascilla. The services will be officiated by Sister Myra Ellis.
Sandra was born on May 7, 1949, in Brazil to her loving parents, Wesley Burton Yarbrough and Doris Earlene Melton Yarbrough. She completed her education at West Tallahatchie High School and went on to receive her RN Degree from Mississippi Delta Community College. Sandra dedicated over 27 years of service as a Registered Nurse at Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center before her well-deserved retirement.
As a member of the Mississippi Nurses Association, Sandra’s passion for nursing was evident in her caring nature and dedication to her profession. Beyond her work, she found joy in tending to her yard and flower garden, admiring birds, creating ceramics/pottery, and most of all, in the company of her beloved family and friends. Remembered as a trailblazer — resilient and fiercely independent — and was a pillar of strength for her family; cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, Wesley Yarbrough and Doris Garcia, as well as by her brothers, Jimmy Randall Yarbrough and Herbert Tyrone Yarbrough, and her sister, Donna Yvonne LeBouf.
She is survived by her sons, Charles Ray Williams (Rosemary) of Laporte, Texas; Robert Wesley Williams (Kelvin Brown) of Tutwiler; daughter, Laquita Lynn Williams Sandifer (Timbo) of Boyle; brother, Roger Yarbrough (Becky) of Marquez, Texas; sister, Theresa Yarbrough Jennings of Marquez, Texas; grandchildren, Megan Williams, Charles Ray Williams III, Elizabeth Hope Sandifer and Ethan Graham Sandifer. Sandra also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory dear, and also her dedicated caregiver,
