CHARLESTON — Shirley Ann Goad Milam, age 77, passed away Saturday, Aug. 27, at Baptist North Mississippi in Oxford.
The family will hold a graveside service Tuesday, Aug. 30, beginning 10 a.m. at Magnolia Garden Cemetery in Paynes. Newsom Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
Shirley was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Charleston, and loved piecing together puzzles.
Those whom she leaves behind to forever cherish her memory include one daughter, Amy Prine (Richie) of Charleston; one son, David Nelson (Ericka) of Charleston; three grandchildren, Preston Prine (Kaylie) of Charleston, Michael Prine (Tanya Haney) of Charleston and Kelsey Taylor Nelson of Sumner; one great-grandchild, Dawson McGregory of Charleston; two sisters, Linda Williamson (Charles) and Debra Goodwin (Johnny), both of Charleston.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tommy and Freddie Hitt Goad; and one brother, William Earl “Bubba” Goad.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Charleston, LeBonheur Children's Hospital, American Cancer Society, St. Jude or the charity of your choice.
