TIPPO — Curtis Edward Davis, age 88, passed away Friday, June 25, at Tallahatchie General Hospital in Charleston.
Funeral services are Monday, June 28, 2021, at 2 P.M. at Tippo First United Methodist Church with visitation prior to the service. Bro. Shelley Scallions will conduct the service. Troy Hill, Eric Denmark, and Amy Todd will present the sacred music. Interment will be at the Tippo First United Methodist Church Cemetery. Womble Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
He is the husband of the late Dorothy “Dot” Jane Davis. They shared 66 years together.
Born in Calhoun on February 8, 1933, he was a member of the Tippo First United Methodist Church.
Curtis is survived by three sons; Don Davis (Angie) of Tippo, Jimbo Davis (Brenda) of Tippo, and Neal Davis (Becky) of Cordova, Tenn.; a brother, Charles Davis (Helen) of Tippo; four grandchildren, Jonathan “Jed” Davis (Haliey), Jeremy Davis, Casey Davis Arnold (Brad) and Peyton Davis; two great-grandchildren, Anna Bradlie Arnold and Layton Cannon.
He is preceded in death by his wife; Dorothy “Dot” Davis; his parents, Curtis Lee Davis and Susie Hamby Davis; one sister, Nell Osburn; and one brother, Richard Durrell Davis.
Pallbearers are Brad Arnold, Layton Cannon, Jeremy Davis, Jonathan “Jed” Davis, Randy Davis, Ronnie Davis, Gary Osborn and John York.
