GRENADA — Louis Edward McCammon, age 74, of Grenada, passed away Friday, March 21, at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson.
Funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday, March 26, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service. Interment will follow in the Wayside Cemetery at Scobey. Family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service Wednesday at McKibben and Guinn.
He was born June 18, 1950 in Grenada to William Edward and Carrie Louise Richardson McCammon. Louis was a true handyman and could fix almost anything that needed to be repaired. He loved to “tinker” and was always looking for a new project to tackle. Louis was a Baptist and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren at every opportunity.
He is survived by his daughters, Erin McCammon (Robert Waldo) of Grenada, Megan Shaw (Travis) of Grenada, Brandi Johnson (Tori Garrison) of Oxford and Amanda Brown of Grenada; sons, Chris McCammon (Rita) of Water Valley and Dayton Harris, III (Samantha) of Carrollton; thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Brenda Taylor and a brother, Barry McCammon.
Pallbearers will be Dayton Harris, Brandi Johnson, Erin McCammon, Colby Roach, Travis Shaw and Robert Waldo.
