The Charleston Magnolia Garden Club is at it again.
They have been busy on the Court Square planting blue and white pansies and red tulip bulbs in honor of our nation’s 250th birthday celebration in 2026.
The club’s planting of orange tulips this past spring surprised all by their beauty. Many Charleston residents commented on them.
The club is hopeful for another bounty of floral beauty this coming spring of red, white and blue in celebration of our country’s birthday.
The club has many projects that support the Charleston community, and these projects could not happen without the citizens.
The club’s largest fundraiser is the annual fall luncheon. It is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 21, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Charleston First Presbyterian Church Family Life Center. The cost is $15 for a delicious Thanksgiving meal. Dine in or carry out.
The members of the club are counting on the community’s support for the fall luncheon, as funds raised from this event provide for the community projects that beautify and enhance our lovely city.
The Charleston Magnolia Garden Club is small but mighty, and its members are thankful for all the local support that has made us Mississippi’s 2025 Garden Club of the Year.
Please join us for a Thanksgiving luncheon to celebrate and continue funding our community projects.
Tickets may be purchased from Martha Joe Venable at 662-609-8231, Carrie Rice at 662-647-8956 or from any other garden club member.
