Charleston Mayor Sedrick Smith will present his fourth annual Mayor’s Charity Ball on Saturday, March 25.
The black-tie gala is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at the Charleston Middle School gymnasium and will feature a catered dinner, a formal program of speakers, live musical entertainment and dancing.
Deborah Curtis Wren, spokesperson for the organizing committee, said the meal again will be catered by Hoskins Catering Services.
“New entertainment will be provided this year by Charles Carter of Hattiesburg,” she noted.
Tickets are $25 each, and proceeds from the community event benefit the local chapter of the American Cancer Society.
Wren said “only a few” tickets are left, and they may be purchased from the Charleston Arts Center, home of the Charleston Arts and Revitalization Effort (CARE) on the square.
