JACKSON – The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) today announced the winners of the Star-Spangled Digital Message Sign (DMS) Contest, which invited the public to create patriotic traffic safety messages in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary.
“We appreciate everyone who participated in this contest and helped promote traffic safety in a creative and patriotic way,” said MDOT Executive Director Brad White. “We received lots of fun and interesting messages, and the winners did a great job of showcasing patriotic pride while promoting safe-driving habits throughout the holiday week.”
MDOT’s Star-Spangled DMS Contest encouraged participants to combine themes of patriotism and safe driving to be featured on MDOT’s electronic message boards across the state, including all interstate highways.
