Doyle and Carolyn Tharp of Sumner celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary on April 7. Since their marriage in 1954, they have seen their family tree grow by three children, nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Doyle, 87, and Carolyn, 83, love the Lord and are members of Sumner Church of God. They say, “It hasn’t always been easy but we are blessed,” quoting 1 Thessalonians 5:11: “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.” (Photos special to The Sun-Sentinel)
