NATIONAL SUMMARY
Heavy rain with embedded thunderstorms will drench portions
of the Texas Panhandle in a north to south swath through the
middle of the state tomorrow, raising the risk for
significant flash flooding in parts of the state. In central
and South Texas, some of the thunderstorms can bring
damaging winds and hail and further enhance the risk for
flash flooding. Afternoon thunderstorms in far eastern
Nebraska, extreme northeastern Kansas, much of Iowa and
northern Missouri could also contain hail and damaging
winds. Rain will continue in the Dakotas and eastern
Montana. Another zone of rain and storms will run from far
southern Pennsylvania down through West Virginia, Virginia
and Delmarva. Record-challenging heat will bake the
Northwest.
