The Nation's Weather for Friday, July 14, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Thunderstorms from southern Maine southward to New Jersey
and southeastern Pennsylvania could bring damaging winds and
even an isolated tornado tomorrow. Flash flooding and
damaging winds will be the primary risks with any
thunderstorms farther to the south, down into Maryland,
Delaware, Virginia and North Carolina. Hail and damaging
winds may accompany afternoon thunderstorms across much of
Kansas. Overnight, that risk will expand eastward into
Missouri, northern and central Arkansas, western portions of
Kentucky and Tennessee and northern Mississippi. Even
outside of severe weather, any downpours can lead to renewed
flooding in Vermont. Extreme heat will continue to intensify
in the central valleys of California and in the Desert
Southwest.
