NATIONAL SUMMARY
A storm system will bring showers and embedded rain to much
of northern New England tomorrow. Some rainfall could be
heavy enough to produce localized flash flooding in some
spots. Elsewhere in the Northeast will begin to dry with
high pressure beginning to build back into the mid-Atlantic.
Much of the Southeast will continue to be dry with the
exception of a few showers and thunderstorms across South
Florida. An area of active weather will bring more showers
and thunderstorms stretching from northern Illinois through
parts of Texas. Some storms, mainly from Oklahoma into
northern Texas, can turn severe late in the day and bring
large hail, flooding downpours and damaging winds. Much of
the West will be dry with the exception of spotty storms in
Colorado.
