The Nation's Weather for Monday, March 25, 2024
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Two separate zones of severe thunderstorms are expected
tomorrow, with hail, damaging wind gusts, flooding
downpours and a few tornadoes possible from East Texas into
southern Missouri and as far east as Alabama along an
advancing cold front. Farther northward near the core of
the storm, the area from central Iowa southwestward to near
the Omaha and Kansas City metropolitan areas will face a
similar risk. On the cold side of the storm, a zone of
steady, heavy snow will stretch across the northern and
central Plains, and into northern Minnesota, through the
day, leaving several inches of snow for many. A burst of
several inches of snow is expected in parts of Colorado,
but snow showers stretch across the Rockies, with a storm
bringing rain and snow near the Pacific Northwest coast.
