Due to an anonymous giver, Charleston Mayor Sedrick Smith Sr., city employees and volunteers were able to distribute food to 300 drive-up recipients outside City Hall Monday morning. Smith said each person received a box containing a mixture of canned goods, beans, juice and cereal. Cheese and hand sanitizer also were given away.
