The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a Freezing Fog Advisory for Benton, Coahoma, DeSoto, Lafayette, Marshall, Panola, Quitman, Tallahatchie, Tate, Tunica and Yalobusha counties in North Mississippi until 9 a.m. Wednesday.
Hazardous driving conditions are expected due to low visibility of one-quarter mile or less, and there is a potential for frost on bridges.
If driving, motorists are urged to slow down, use their headlights and leave plenty of distance in front of them.
They also are urged to be alert to the possibility of frost on bridge decks that could cause slippery conditions.
