CHARLESTON — Mrs. Barbara Hollingsworth Reed, age 70, homemaker, passed away at her home on Friday, April 15.
A private family graveside service will be held at an undetermined date at the Bethel Cemetery in Teasdale with Womble Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
She was born in Brunswick, Ga., to the late Phillip Hollingsworth and Rose Willeen Lawson Hollingsworth. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church of Charleston.
She is survived by her husband, Henry L. Reed; two sons, Phillip (Chanda) Reed and David (Deanna and Anna) Reed, all of Grenada; a sister, Phyllis Hollingsworth (Mike) Griggs of Charleston; 5 grandchildren, Maicie Reed (Dustin) Dickey, Alaina Reed (Andrew) Shuffield, Seth, Riley, and Kaleigh Reed all of Grenada; 2 great-grandchildren, Khloe and Dillon Shuffield; a niece, Gena Hollingsworth (Donny) Ivy, and two nephews, Jeffrey (Leah) Hollingsworth, Jr. and Michael Griggs, Jr.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Henry Reed, II; and brother, Jeffrey (Jeff) Hollingsworth.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial donations be made to St. John’s Catholic Church, P.O. Box 304, Charleston, MS 38921 or the American Heart Association.
