CHARLESTON — Bobby Bill Melton Sr., age 86, passed away at his home Sunday, Oct. 11.
The family will have a Celebration of Life service at a later date.
Those whom he leaves behind include his wife, Gussie Yeoman Melton of Charleston; six children, Bobby Bill Melton Jr. (Dana) of Enid, Charlotte Melton Brown of Hernando, Tony Baxter Melton of Grenada, Bobbi Michelle “Shelly” Louwerens (Shane), Billy Ingram Cross, and Belinda Cross Allison (Jon); three sisters, Maudine Melton McNeer of Carrolton, Jean Melton Clark of Germantown, Tenn. and Darlene Melton Moorman of Tillatoba; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Lawson and Myrtle Cummings Melton; three sisters, Tina Melton Taylor, Maybelle Melton Kerr, Sherry Melton Joslin; and five brothers, James, Frank, Howard “Bully,” Dillard and Paul Melton.
