PULASKI, Tenn. — Bobby Gene Woodall, age 80, passed away Friday, June 14, at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tenn.
Funeral services were 1 p.m. Monday, June 17, in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory with interment folloing at Giles County Memory Gardens in Pulaski, Tenn. Pastor Dusty Frierson of Lifepoint Pentecostal Church in Pulaski officiated.
Born Oct. 6, 1938 in Water Valley, he was the son of the late Jessie Vernon and Elvie Manerva Tudor Woodall. Bobby was the husband of Geneva Weeks Woodall for 60 years. He also served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard and as a Memphis, Tenn. Reserve Police Officer. He was employed for 37 years with General Electric/Trane and retired in 1999. In 2014 Bobby moved to Pulaski, Tenn. where he enjoyed hunting, raising cattle and gardening on his own land.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Robert Leven Woodall (wife Amelia (Amy) Woodall) from Pulaski, Tenn. and Myles Aaron Woodall from Nashville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Amber Autrey from North Little Rock, Ark., Michael Cameron Oakes from Ala, Scott Jamison Oakes from Virginia (wife Elizabeth Oakes) from North Carolina; and great-grandchildren, Shelby Jones Desir (husband Kelly), Richie Jones, Tyler, Michael, Noah, Lucy Jane and Harper Quinn Oakes; as well as sister-in-law, Helen Virginia Weeks Tubbs from Sumner, along with a host of friends and family.
