MERIDIAN — Mrs. Cameron “Cammy” Mitchell Pigford, age 48, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 26, at Anderson Medical Center in Meridian.
Graveside services were held at noon Saturday, Aug. 29, at Smith Cemetery. Newsom Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
Cammy was a graduate of Charleston High School, Delta State University with a bachelors degree in Communicative Sciences, University of Mississippi with a masters degree in Special Education, Nova Southeastern University with a masters degree in Speech Language Pathology.
Cammy loved her family above all else. She enjoyed reading, spending time with family, traveling, and her job.
She leaves behind her husband, Richard Pigford; and son Mitchell Pigford of Meridian; her parents, Timmy and Pat Mitchell of Charleston; her sister, Jamie Mitchell Montgomery (Chad) of Charleston; her grandmother, Betty Mitchell of Charleston; aunts, Betty Price of Charleston and Rose Handley of Lebanon, Tenn.; nieces, Madison Montgomery, Eaden Montgomery and Alyssa Brock; nephews, Ashton Montgomery, Cohen Montgomery and Ethan Brock; and a host of cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, William O. Price and Katherine Mullins Price; her paternal grandfather, James “Skeet” Mitchell; and uncle, William “Billy” Price.
