OAKLAND — Charles Wade Calder, age 70, former Tallahatchie County Deputy Sheriff and county workder, passed away Monday, Dec. 28, in Oxford.
Private graveside services were held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, at Union Cemetery in Tillatoba with Newsom Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Regina Smallwood Calder; a daughter, Pam Smith (Timmy) of Charleston; two sons, Charles Wade Calder Jr. and Anthony Day Calder, both of Oakland; sisters, Alvia Joy Walton (Ezra) of Tillatoba, Violet Coaten (David) of Oakland and Paulette Paumen Craig of Hopkinsville, Ky.; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
