CHARLESTON — Cheryl Whitten Carpenter, age 56, former secretary/bookkeeper for Charleston First Baptist Church, passed Monday, Dec. 30, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford.
Funeral services were 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, at Womble Funeral Home chapel with interment following at Corinth Cemetery near Charleston.
She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Mike Carpenter of Charleston; a son, Mitch Carpenter; and a brother, Tandy Whitten of Charleston.
The family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
