GRENADA — Bro. Christopher Michael Beach, 45, of Grenada, passed away Saturday, May 9, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Grenada.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, at the Stonefield Cemetery at Cascilla with Rev. James McElroy and Rev. Jesse Strider officiating.
He was born Oct. 17, 1974 in Grenada to Cecil Earl and Charlane Branch Beach. Chris was a devoted employee of McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service and an active member of the Grenada Church of God. Chris has been an integral member of the staff at McKibben and Guinn and has greeted hundreds of visitors attending funerals with a genuine smile and warm welcome. He has prayed with and been a comfort to countless individuals in his lifetime and we believe has now heard the words “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
While Chris was talented in many areas like painting and construction, his true passion was ministry. Chris was currently enrolled in the CAMS program through his church which would have led to him becoming a licensed minister in the Church of God. Chris loved to study scripture and share his thoughts on topics that he was studying. While we find comfort today in knowing he has met the author and finisher of his faith, our hearts remain heavy for the void that his absence will leave. Chris didn’t simply pass away, he held in his soul the cure to death, a relationship with Jesus.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Dee Ann Cox Beach of Grenada; one daughter, Cora Lee Beach of Grenada; one son, Christopher Michael Beach, II of Grenada; one sister, Michelle Wiggins of Gore Springs; one brother, Aubrey Beach(Melissa) of Smithville; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Avery, Justin Avery, Aubrey Beach, Charles Cochran, Mark Cox, Brian Guinn and Dusty McKibben.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the staff of McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service.
