ENID — Elmer Clyde Newman, age 90, passed away on Friday, Apri1 3, at his home in Enid.
A private graveside service was held 3 p.m. Thursday, April 16, at Bethel Cemetery near Enid. Dickins Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
He was a member of Bethel Methodist Church. He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a retired construction worker and farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine T. Newsom.
He is survived by one daughter, Anita Traywick of Pope; and a brother, John E. Newman of Birmingham, Ala..
The family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, the Tallahatchie Cancer Society or Bethel Cemetery Fund.
