SUMNER — George Thomas “Slick” McCullough, 91, retired from Stephen Adamson, died Saturday, Oct. 3, at Culpepper Place of Olive Branch.
Visitation is Wednesday, Oct. 7, 10-11 a.m. at Sumner Baptist Church. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, at Sumner Baptist Church with interment following at Woodlawn Cemetery. Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale is handling the arrangements.
Mr. McCullough was in the United States Air Force and served during the Korean War. He was a deacon at the Sumner Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include: his wife of 72 years, Mrs. Helen Williams McCullough; three daughters, Cindy Loden of Southaven, Shay Hall (David) of Tupelo, and Kay Bryant (Dean) of Southaven; 6 grandchildren, Morgan Hall, Kelsey Maloney, Lauren Joslin, Daniel Bryant, Kyle Bryant and Kaitlyn Bryant.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carroll and Pearl Horn McCullough; brothers, H.D. McCullough, James McCullough; and sisters, Eula Thomas, Virgie Slack and Ruth Brody.
