BATESVILLE — Harriett O'Quin, age 74, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 25, at Providence Assisted Living, in Batesville.
Funeral services for Mrs. O'Quin will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 28, in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Greenville Cemetery in Greenville. Dr. Tommy Snyder will officiate.
She was the widow of the late Rev. Donald O'Quinn.
Harriett was born June 29, 1945 to the late Harold Peeples and Helen Rigby Peeples in Grenada. Harriett was a longtime resident of Greenville.
She received her Master’s Degree from Belhaven University in Education. Harriett’s teaching career spanned 25 years, educating children at Presbyterian Day School in Jackson, Quitman County Elementary, and the majority of her time at Matty Akin Elementary in Greenville.
She was a member of Batesville First Baptist Church. Harriett took great pride in her three precious grandchildren.
Harriett’s loving memory will be cherished by her children, Margaret O’Quin Bouler of Batesville, Alan O’Quin (Emily) of Brownsville, Tenn.; and three grandchildren, Emma-Davis O’Quin, Mary-Alan O’Quin, and Whit O’Quin.
