CHARLESTON — Joe Irvin McBrayer, age 83, passed away Thursday, Nov. 21, at Baptist Desoto Hospital in Southaven.
Funeral services were 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at First Baptist Church in Charleston with 3 p.m. graveside services following at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Noxapater. Newsom Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, Charleston and had served as Deacon several years. He was an avid fisherman.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Martha McBrayer of Charleston; his sons, Terry Joe McBrayer and Timothy Irvin McBrayer, both of Charleston; his grandchildren, Ellen McBrayer of Grenada, Seth McBrayer of Batesville and Hallie McBrayer of Charleston; his great-grandchildren, Brayer Pipkin of Charleston and Ann Lewis McBrayer of Batesville; and his sisters, Martha Jean Burriage of Meridian and Carolyn Haggard of Noxapater.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Nannie McBrayer.
