Joseph Davis

BATESVILLE  —  Joseph “Dwight” Davis, age 50, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 10, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford.

The family will hold a memorial service on Thursday, Nov. 7, at New Hope Church of God in Batesville. Kimbro Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Dwight loved playing his guitar, the drums, loved his family and family gatherings.

Those he leaves behind include his best friend, Mishell McGee of Charleston; two daughters, Hailee and Bailee Davis, both of Charleston; one son, Joseph Adams of Marks; six sisters, Renee Mills of Crowder, Stephanie Davis of Sardis,  Jody Bundrum of Drew, Vickie Melton of Houston, Janet Morgan of Cascilla, and Sandra Gentry of Oakland; two brothers, Amos Davis of Batesville  and Ed Davis of Tampa, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Lucille Davis; and two brothers, Robert Sumner and Bobby Davis.
