TILLATOBA — J.W. Moorman, age 86, passed away Saturday morning, June 20, at Grenada Living Center.
Due to Covid-19 pandemic, the immediate family gathered at Newsom Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, and interment followed at Moorman Family Cemetery in Tillatoba.
Mr. Moorman was a commercial fisherman, and a gardener that was known as “truck patches.”
Those whom he leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 35 years, Jamar Darlene Melton Moorman of Tillatoba; one son, Richard Keith Beck of Tillatoba; two sisters, Mary Lee (JK) of Cascilla and Shelby Ulrey; 9 grandchildren, Richard Keith Beck II of Holcomb, Healther Nicole Beck Todd of Eudora, Triston Jamar Beck of Tillatoba, Ryan Moorman of Brazil, Skylar Moorman of Brazil, Constance Moorman Campbell, Shauna Rollins, Shawna Dale Kendall and Roger Dale Kendall Jr.; and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lenora Moorman; one daughter, Kathy Moorman Kendall; one son; J.W. “Joey” Moorman Jr.; and one sister, Joyce Melton.
