OAKLAND — Katherine Carter Tellis, age 82, retired Head Start bus driver, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 15, at Tallahatchie General Hospital’s Extended Care Facility.
Graveside services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at New Simmon Hill Cemetery. Clark-Williams Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
She is survived four daughters, Vernell T. Wright and Barbara Petty, both of Oakland, Johnnie Mae Dickens of Grenada and Ora J. Tellis of Charleston; three sons, Sammie Tellis of Oakland, Hezzie Tellis of Tillatoba and Darnell Tellis of Charleston; and two sisters.
