CHARLESTON — Lillie Inez Shaw, age 73, passed away at the home of her daughter in Charleston Sunday, Jan. 5.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Jan. 7, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Newsom Funeral Home in Charleston with interment following in Corinth Baptist Cemetery, Tillatoba.
Inez, a member of Community Full Gospel Church, Charleston, loved her family, cooking and baking with cakes being her specialty, as well as gardening.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Lisa (Jamie) Anderson of Charleston; her grandchildren, Ryvers, Reaghan and Rylee Anderson, and her great-grandchild, Kayson McCollins, all of Charleston; her sisters, Nellie (Billy) Early of Charleston, Barbara (Nolan) Martin of Coffeeville, Dorothy (Jim) Armstrong of Hattiesburg and Patsy Simmons of Charleston; her brothers, Floyde (Connie) Simmons and Donnie Simmons, both of Charleston.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Shaw; her parents, Douglas and Lillie Simmons; two sisters, Dianah Fitzpatrick, Betty Tribble, and three brothers, Artis, Marvin and Cecil Simmons.
Pallbearers were Josh Simmons, Jonathan Simmons, Chance Simmons, Austin Simmons, Jerry Martin, Chris Albritton, Kurt Lindley, Joseph Lindley and Morgan Whitten.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Dementia Society.
