GLENDORA — Roosevelt Williams passed away Monday, May 29.
Graveside services are Friday, June 5, at The Williams Family Cemetery on Sharkey Road in Glendora. Skeeter Robinson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
He was a member of the Persimmon Grove M. B. Church and was the first black elected official in Tallahatchie County.
He is survived by three daughters, Sharion Brenson, Caroline Boclair, Tameka Richardson; three sons, Reginald Williams, Roosevelt Williams II, and Cedric Berryhill; three sisters, a brother; and numerous grandchildren.
