MEMPHIS — Sammie Edith Hyde Crenshaw, age 90, passed away Monday, Dec. 14.
The family will hold a private graveside service.
Mrs. Crenshaw was a graduate of Charleston High School, and member of Grace United Methodist Church in Memphis. She loved her children, music, yard work and animals. Her passing was due to complications of COVID-19.
She is survived by her daughter, Jan Crenshaw of Memphis; son, Jeff Crenshaw (Donna) of Germantown, Ten.; one grandson, Tyler Catterton of Memphis; and like a daughter to her, Carla Orr of Memphis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Marjorie Hyde; three sisters, Ruth Knight, Dorothy Childress, Maxine Yoffey and four brothers, Charlie, David, Dan and Lokie Hyde.
The family requests memorials be made to Memphis Humane Society or Mid South Spay & Neuter.
