CHARLESTON — Susie Mae Kendall, age 84, passed away Monday, Feb. 1, at Tallahatchie General Hospital’s Extended Care Facility in Charleston.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 3, at Womble Funeral Home Chapel from 1 until 2 p.m. Rev. Eric Gregg will conduct the service 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, at Womble Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Ashland Cemetery near Cascilla. Womble Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
Susie was born on May 10, 1936, and was a member of Community Church of God.
She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Grant of Charleston and Pam Morris (Roger) of Holcomb; one son, Billy Kendall of Charleston; one brother; Roy Grammer (Janie); four grandchildren, Beth Ross (Davlyn), Colby Morris, Kyle Morris and Kaleb Morris (Ashley); 13 great-grandchildren; Hayden Ross, Haley Ross, Kimberly Ross, Ben Ross, Maggie Smith, Khonor Smith, Jana Paige Kirk, Kyndall Smith, Lila Mabus, Kyler Morris, Kaisley Morris and Anna Britt Morris and Knox Morris; and a niece; Glenda Woodard.
Susie is preceded in death by her husband, Otis Kendall; her parents; Fannie Williams Grammer and George Grammer; four brothers, Priest Grammer, Leland Grammer, Mann Grammer and Buddy Grammer; three sisters, Louise Smith, Ara Allbritton, and Lucy Smith; and son-in-law, Wayne Grant.
Pallbearers were Caleb Morris, Kyle Morris, Roger Morris, Davlyn Ross, Haley Ross and Hayden Ross.
Honorary pallbearers are Knox Morris, Ben Ross, Khonor Smith, Rodney Smith and Shane Smith.
