OXFORD — The University of Mississippi raised a record $284.6 million in private support during fiscal year 2026, marking its third consecutive record fundraising year.
The total represents a 32% increase, or $69 million, over the previous year and will support scholarships, research, cancer care, facilities and athletics.
Key figures:
• $284.6 million – Total donations
• $83.4 million – Total contributed to Academic Programs, Research and Economic Development
• $93.3 million – Total donated to University of Mississippi Medical Center
• $107.9 million – Total donated to Ole Miss Athletics Foundation
• $1.16 billion – Approximate University Endowment
• 101,000 gifts
• 28,000 donors, including more than 6,300 first-time donors
“At the heart of this extraordinary year is trust,” said Chancellor Glenn F. Boyce. “Our alumni and supporters believe in the University of Mississippi’s mission and trust us to steward their generosity wisely. Their confidence is transforming lives, strengthening communities and furthering our impact statewide.”
Dr. LouAnn Woodward, vice chancellor for Health Affairs, said, “Whether it was for student scholarships, scientific discovery, expansion of patient care facilities or health care program expansion, the gifts are making a positive impact on our institution and the state.”
Keith Carter, vice chancellor for Intercollegiate Athletics, noted, “Our athletics program is experiencing a historic period of success, and none of it would be possible without the steadfast support of the Ole Miss family. We are sincerely grateful for our donors’ continued enthusiasm, generosity and commitment.”
