CHARLESTON — Opal Irene Bloodworth, age 75, passed away Thursday, Aug. 4, at UMMC in Grenada.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at Womble Funeral Home, with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. Bro. Shelly Scallions will officiate. Interment will follow at Paul Shady Grove Cemetery.
She was born in Charleston on March 30, 1947, to the late G.L Ross and Sadie Allbritton Ross.
Opal is survived by four grandchildren, Josh (Laura) Womble, Lindsey Womble, Allie Bloodworth and Allan Bloodworth; two great grandchildren, Kyle Hollis and Grant Womble; three sisters, Jewel Bloodworth, Dorothy Gene (Wayne) Edwards and Marlene (Drew) Carpenter; and four brothers, Marvin Ross, H.B. Ross (Margie) Ross, Steve (Donna) Ross and Stanley (Diane) Ross.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jessie Earl Bloodworth; two sons, Christopher Allan Bloodworth and Kevin Bloodworth; and her daughter, Pamela Renea Womble.
Pallbearers are Albert Kennedy, James Cook, Rod Ross, Haley Ross, Jeffery Timmons and Austin Miller.
