About two weeks later than the calendar said, fall has fallen and brought some much cooler temperatures and greatly needed rainfall.

A statewide burn ban imposed due to dangerously dry conditions and the threat of wildfires was lifted Monday. Tallahatchie’s burn ban, and bans in many other counties, remained in effect Monday.
A more seasonable weather pattern is predicted for the foreseeable future, and we’re loving it.
