In Gov. Tate Reeves’ first inaugural address recently, he promised to focus on deregulation and free markets to spur growth. He acknowledged the state’s responsibility to take care of its foster children and ensure state prisoners are protected from harm.

SCOBEY — James Robert Womble, 85, of Scobey, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 12, at his home.
