Editor, Sun-Sentinel:
I have come to the realization that there is a movement against Christianity far more than I ever believed possible, especially in my beloved state of Mississippi.
The only explanation I seem to have is that the Holy Bible says that the day would come, and is now, when the world would hate Jesus, and it will hate you if you side with Him.
However, Jesus goes on to say for us not to worry about it, but rather rejoice and be glad for great is our reward in Heaven.
The Apostle Paul says, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but wanting to have their ears tickled they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.”
So it should be the Christian’s goal and purpose to pray for knowledge and wisdom and pray as well for the people who are personally attacking Christians and the many that agree on all the issues facing our state and nation.
All this is in hopes that God will send the revival He has promised, and if we confess our sins and repent, He will heal our land.
We thank all for the support of Christian beliefs. God bless Mississippi and America, and may we pray that He does not take His hand off this nation He has blessed so abundantly.
