In the past two weeks, two dogs have been dropped off at my home. Over the previous years, several have been dropped off.
I suppose it is an easy place to drop off unwanted animals. It’s a rural road with very few homes, and many people know that I and the rest of my family love animals.
I understand that sometimes there are difficult situations causing pet owners to not be able to care for their animals anymore. But instead of dropping them off and letting them fend for themselves and hoping they don’t starve or die from snakebite, how about surrendering them to an organization that can help?
I want to make everyone aware of SHARE of Grenada.
SHARE [Shelter Homeless Animals Rescue Efforts] is an organization that finds homes and shelters for animals. They work tirelessly to vet the animals and find a great home for them or a shelter from which they can be adopted.
I have been with this organization to take animals to new shelters. The animals are taken care of in every way possible.
Please consider contacting them before dropping off your pet in a strange place to fend for themselves.
