CHILD FIND PUBLICITY CAMPAIGN
The West Tallahatchie School District is participating in an ongoing statewide effort to identify and evaluate children from birth to twenty-one who may have a physical, mental, communicative, and/or emotional disability. Early identification of children in need of special education services is important. Our school district offers a variety of special programs to meet the needs of students identified with a disability.
Information from parents and community agencies will be used to determine present and future program needs as progress is made toward our goal of providing a free, appropriate public education to each student. Data that identifies an individual child will be confidentially maintained.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
The North Delta Planning and Development District/Area Agency on Aging is requesting proposals to secure fixed rate contracts to provide the following services to older adults in our planning and service area:
Adult Day Care/Senior Center (7 counties – individual or all)
Nutrition Counseling (7 counties – individual or all)
Homemaker (7 counties – individual, group or all)
Legal Assistance (7 counties)
Respite (National Family Caregiver Support Program, 7 counties)
Transportation (Coahoma, Panola, Quitman, Tallahatchie & Tate counties - individual or all)
Interested parties may request proposal packets in writing from the Area Agency on Aging of North Delta Planning and Development District, 220 Power Drive, P.O. Box 1488, Batesville, Mississippi 38606-1488. Proposal packets may be picked up any time after July 16, 2025, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Deadline for submitting a proposal shall be 9:00 a.m., August 19, 2025. A letter of intent stating your service interest and geographical area should be submitted on or before the date on your request for proposal. Proposals will be opened August 21, 2025. Successful bidders will be notified. The North Delta PDD/AAA reserves the right to reject any and all proposals in the best interest of the agency. NOTICE OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE
CITY OF TUTWILER, MISSISSIPPI ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE TO CHANGE THE DAY OF THE WEEK FOR REGULAR MONTHLY MEETINGS OF THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF TUTWILER, MISSISSIPPI
WHEREAS, Mississippi Code Annotated § 21-3-19 establishes the first Tuesday of each month as the regular meeting day for the mayor and board of aldermen of code-chartered municipalities; and
WHEREAS, Mississippi Code Annotated § 21-17-17 authorizes the governing authorities of any municipality to change the day of the week set for their regular monthly meeting by ordinance duly adopted; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Tutwiler find it necessary and in the best interests of the city to change the day of the week for regular monthly meetings; and
WHEREAS, this ordinance has been published once a week for at least three (3) consecutive weeks in a newspaper published in or having general circulation within the municipality, as required by Mississippi Code Annotated § 21-17-17;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Tutwiler, Mississippi, as follows:
SECTION 1. The regular monthly meeting of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Tutwiler, Mississippi, shall be held on the second Wednesday of each month, instead of the first Tuesday of each month as provided in Mississippi Code Annotated § 21-3-19.
SECTION 2. Said regular monthly meeting shall be held at 6:00 p.m. at the City Hall, or at such other time and place as may be designated by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen.
SECTION 3. When a regular meeting of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen shall fall upon a holiday, the Mayor and Board shall meet the following day.
SECTION 4. All meetings shall be conducted in accordance with the provisions of Mississippi Code Annotated § 21-3-19 and other applicable laws, including but not limited to quorum requirements and public notice provisions.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
SECTION 6. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
This ordinance will be considered for adoption by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen at their regular meeting on August 5, 2025 at 6:00 p.m.at Tutwiler City Hall.
