WHEREAS, on or about the 9th day of March, 2015, Carol B. Turner executed and delivered a certain Deed of Trust unto Jay Gore, III, Trustee, Tallahatchie County Bank, Beneficiary, to secure an indebtedness therein described which Deed of Trust is recorded in Book 2015, Page 911, of the Records of Mortgages and Deeds of Trust on Lands on file in the office of the Chancery Clerk of Tallahatchie County, Mississippi, First Judicial District; and
WHEREAS, Bank of Commerce is the successor in interest by merger to Tallahatchie County Bank and the current holder of said indebtedness; and
WHEREAS, said Deed of Trust authorized the appointment and substitution of another Trustee in the place of the Trustee named in said Deed of Trust, and Bank of Commerce, pursuant to said Deed of Trust, substituted James P. Wilson, Jr. as Trustee in the place of the original Trustee, by written instrument dated August 2, 2024 and filed for record in the office of the Chancery Clerk of Tallahatchie County, Mississippi, First Judicial District on August 7, 2024, in Book 2024, Page 1785, also in said land records; and
WHEREAS, default has been made in the payment of the indebtedness secured by said Deed of Trust, which default continues, and Bank of Commerce, the legal holder of the note(s) secured by said Deed of Trust, having requested the undersigned to sell the property described hereinafter for the purpose of satisfying the indebtedness and costs of sale.
NOW, THEREFORE, notice is hereby given that I, the undersigned Substitute Trustee, will on the Sixth (6th) day of June, 2025, at the main front door of the Tallahatchie County Courthouse in Charleston, Mississippi, within legal hours, offer for sale, at public outcry, to the highest bidder for cash, the following described property in the First Judicial District of Tallahatchie County, Mississippi, to wit:
East 89 feet 4½ inches off North Half of Lot 5, Block 1, Northwest Ward, City of Charleston, First Judicial District, Tallahatchie County, Mississippi, together with an undivided one-half (½) interest in the brick wall on the line between North Half and South Half of said Lot 5 and together with an undivided one-half (½) interest in the brick wall on the line between North Half of said Lot 5 and the South Half of Lot 4. Being that lot and building known as the “Post Office Café” along with 19 feet 4 ½ inches lying West of said building. All in the North Half of said Lot 5. Together with all furniture, appliances and equipment.

EAST TALLAHATCHIE SCHOOL DISTRICT DEPOSITARY BID NOTICE
Notice is hereby given to all qualified financial institutions that the School Board of the East Tallahatchie School District pursuant to the provisions of Sections 37-7-333, 27-105-305 and 27-103-315 of the Mississippi code of 1972 as amended, shall receive sealed bids for the privilege of keeping the school district funds from July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2028.
Said bids shall be received at the Office of the Superintendent, East Tallahatchie School District, 411 East Chestnut St., Charleston, MS 38921, until June 12, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. Each bid shall indicate the amount of interest to be paid on checking accounts. Please state other special services that will be available upon approval of proposals. Bid proposal forms can be obtained from the East Tallahatchie School District Office.
The School Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities in the bids. In order to be considered, each sealed bid shall have “Depository Bid’ Written or typed on its face.
