Judge Tara Lang handed down the following decisions during the Nov. 18, Dec. 2, Dec. 16 and Jan. 6 sessions of Charleston Municipal Court, according to information on file in the municipal court clerk’s office. Court was not held Jan. 20 due to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.

• Jimmy Brooks, 42, of 13 Brookville Dr., Cascilla, failed to appear, was found guilty of civil contempt for failing to appear on another charge. A bench warrant was issued with the option of serving five days in jail at credit of $100 per day or paying the total fine of $528.25.
• Carveius S. Dates, 19, of 606 Broome St., Charleston, failed to appear, found guilty of reckless driving, fine/fees $226 after failing to report back to court with proof of completion of a defensive driving class
• J.C. Garner, 63, of Oil Mill Quarters Apt. 8, Sumner, failed to appear, found guilty of a first offense of shoplifting, fine/fees $367.25 and ordered to stay off the premises of SuperValu in Charleston or any property owned or operated by SuperValu, for a period of one year
• Dontarien J. Glaspie, 23, of 14 County Road 251A, Bruce, guilty of speeding (10-19 mph over the posted limit), fine/fees $166
• Timmy Harris, 50, of 1030 Sharkey Road, Charleston, guilty of civil contempt for failure to pay back fines, assessed $50 fine and ordered to serve six days in the Tallahatchie County Jail with $100 credit per day to be applied toward the back fine

• Zetarus J. Coleman, 32, of 1607 Nation Road/Blue Cane, Charleston, guilty of speeding (10-19 mph), fine/fees $166; guilty of no proof of liability insurance, fine/fees $366, reflecting a reduced fine
• Preston L. Cosby, 26, of 546 Cosby St., Courtland, had a charge of improper/no tag dismissed after providing proof of purchase of tag and paying court costs of $50.
• Walter Griffin, 70, of 805 Chestnut St., Charleston, had a charge of driving while license suspended dismissed after providing proof of reinstated driver’s license and paying court costs of $50. Griffin was found guilty of no proof of liability insurance, had the fine waived, but was ordered to pay state and city assessments of $316.
• Willie Murry, 68, of 17 Peach St., Charleston, guilty of no proof of liability insurance, provided proof of insurance purchase after receiving the ticket, had the fine waived and was ordered to pay state and city assessments of $316.

• Major Davis, 62, of 299 Blackberry St., Charleston, had a charge of domestic violence simple assault dismissed after completion of anger management classes.
• Marcus Hamilton, 34, of 55 Eskridge St., Charleston, had a bench warrant issued after failing to appear in court to answer a civil contempt charge for back fines totaling $1,693.29.
• Dustie Hood, 25, of 1275 County Road 126, Carrollton, guilty of speeding (10-19 mph), fine/fees $166
• Allison Myers, 25, of 39 Howard Road, Enid, had a charge of improper equipment dismissed after providing proof of a repaired headlight. She still was ordered to pay court costs of $50.
