Judge Tara Lang handed down the following decisions during the Oct. 14, Oct. 21, Oct. 28 and Nov. 4 sessions of Charleston Municipal Court, according to information on file in the municipal court clerk’s office.
Oct. 14
• Ledarius M. Davis, 21, of 199 Shelby Dr., Oxford, failed to appear, found guilty of failure to observe traffic sign, fine/fees $151; found guilty of no proof of liability insurance, fine/fees $416; found guilty of improper/no tag, fine/fees $197.25
Oct. 21
• Shaquille A. Barnes, 25, of 15 Birch St., Clarksdale, was picked up on a warrant for civil contempt for failure to pay back fines, and was released from custody on Oct. 23 with credit for time served. Per judges’ order, that credit was applied toward her back fine of $626.37.
• Carlos K. Haywood, 44, of 209 N. Vine St., Charleston, had a charge of civil contempt dismissed. He was given credit for five days served, which was applied toward his back fine at the rate of $100 per day, and was authorized to work off the balance through the city’s community service program.
• Takayla M. Haywood, 23, of 706 W. Main St., Charleston, had a charge of civil contempt dismissed after paying off a back fine in full.
• Thomas Hollis, 36, of 428 Hunter Creek Road, Charleston, guilty of speeding (10-19 mph), fine/fees $166; guilty of no proof of liability insurance, fine/fees $416
• Larry Johnson, 57, of 14 Elm St., Charleston, had a charge of civil contempt dismissed. He was given credit for six days served in jail at $100 per day, which was applied toward his back fine, and was allowed to work off the balance through the city’s community service program.
• Timmy A. Miller, 40, of 5457 Cascilla Road, Cascilla, had a charge of civil contempt dismissed after paying off a back fine in full.
• Lisa Peterson, 46, of 3 E. Holly St., Charleston, had a charge of civil contempt dismissed after being given an extension until Nov. 1 to make full payment of $71 on a back fine.
• Dewayne Tellis, 46, of 41 Eskridge St., Charleston, was sentenced to time served on a charge of public drunk.
• Robert Wrenn, 70, address unavailable, had a charge of civil contempt dismissed but was ordered to pay a fine of $50 for a seat belt violation.
Oct. 28
• Amy N. Allbritton, 36, of 125 Blackberry St., Charleston, had a charge of civil contempt dismissed after she paid her back fine in full.
• Erin B. Douglas, 18, of 1583 Teasdale Road, Enid, had a charge of speeding (10-19 mph over the posted limit) dismissed after she completed a defensive driving course.
• Lacey D. Govan, 31, of 960 Highway 35 S., Holcomb, guilty of driving wrong way, fine/fees $166
• Lesam Q. Jennings, 21, of 10 A St., Charleston, had a charge of improper equipment dismissed after getting a signal light fixed. He was assessed court costs of $50.
• Emily S. McBride, 20, of 7135 Highway 32, Oakland, had a charge of speeding (10-19 mph) remanded.
• Tommy Patterson, 49, of 1200 Teasdale Road, Charleston, guilty of possession of paraphernalia, fine/fees $274.25
• Fredrick Stokes, 38, of 277 Pamplin Road, Charleston, guilty of contempt of court, fine/fees $500, sentenced to 30 days jail suspended, conditional upon payment of fine by Feb. 4, 2020; guilty of civil contempt for failure to pay back fines, ordered to remain in custody until Nov. 4, at which time he could be released with back fines and a $50 contempt fine cleared
• Mary Taylor, 24, of 101 Richardson Road, Charleston, failed to appear, found guilty of speeding (10-19 mph), fine/fees $166
• Bobby J. Trusty, 38, of 19 Rosebloom, Grenada, failed to appear, found guilty of driving while license suspended, fine/fees $316
Nov. 4
• Meah F. Bonner, 27, of 336 Sweethome Road, Grenada, guilty of possession of a controlled substance, fine/fees $500
• Dantino Bradford, 30, of 718 Spruce St., Oakland, guilty of possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle, fine/fees $394.25
• Jimmy Brown, 65, of 645 W. Main St., Charleston, had a charge of civil contempt for failure to pay back fines dismissed after agreeing to a payment plan.
• Franshundra Buckley, 35, of 18 Dogwood St., Charleston, had a charge of civil contempt for failure to pay back fines dismissed after agreeing to a payment plan.
• Charlie M. Busby, 53, of 803 E. Gay, Charleston, had a charge of improper equipment dismissed after he got the equipment fixed. He was assessed court costs of $50.
• William L. Diltz, 41, of 690 W. Walnut St., Charleston, had a charge of civil contempt for failure to pay back fines dismissed after agreeing to a payment plan.
• Cedric Govan, 46, of 705 S. Martin Luther King, Grenada, guilty of speeding (10-19 mph), fine/fees $166
• Jalarria L. Robinson, 21, of 161 B Audrey Road, Courtland, guilty of speeding (10-19 mph), fine/fees $166
• Joseph W. Smith, 38, of 20 Hollis Dr., Charleston, had a charge of civil contempt for failure to pay back fines dismissed after paying off his delinquent fines.
