Judge Denise Washington handed down the following decisions during the Oct. 9 session of Tallahatchie County Justice Court for the Second Judicial District, according to information from the justice court clerk’s office.
• Timmie Harris, age unavailable, of Sharkey Road, Glendora, had a charge of false pretense remanded to file after making payment.
• Stacey Steele, age unavailable, of Goosepond, Webb, guilty of petty larceny, fine/fees $263
• Lora Haley Farris, 41, of 611 Bell Ave., Greenwood, failed to appear, found guilty of speeding (70 in a 55), fine/fees $162
• Justin Kyle Nichols, 31, of 11123 College Road, Olive Branch, failed to appear, found guilty of speeding (87 in a 55), fine/fees $217; found guilty of improper equipment, fine/fees $147
• William Lee Aldridge, 33, of 648 Massey Dr., Coldwater, failed to appear, found guilty of having no uninsured motorist identification, fine/fees $430.50; found guilty of speeding (76 in a 55), fine/fees $207
• Dana Antonette Bell, 33, of 508 Central St., Tutwiler, failed to appear, found guilty of speeding (70 in a 55), fine/fees $162; found guilty of having no uninsured motorist identification, fine/fees $430.50
• Josephine Starling Bell, 41, of 2985 Dawkins Cove, Southaven, failed to appear, found guilty of speeding (78 in a 55), fine/fees $207
• Jordan Monet Travillion, 27, of 1207 Saffold Ave., Greenwood, failed to appear, found guilty of speeding (69 in a 55), fine/fees $162
• Carwin J. Washington, 31, of 7101 Tulane Road N., A. 195, failed to appear, found guilty of improper equipment, fine/fees $147
• Trina Marie Windham, 53, of 1133 Highway 35 S., Holcomb, failed to appear, found guilty of speeding (69 in a 55), fine/fees $162
• Ray Gallaway, age unavailable, of Oil Mill Tea Cups Apartments, Sumner, had a charge of simple assault remanded to file for one year. The plaintiff failed to appear.
• Joey Wells, age unavailable, of 1268 Tatum Pond Road, Tillatoba, had a charge of trespassing remanded to file for six months with an order to stay off the property of the affiant in the case.
• Alisa Lashawn Sherman, 32, of 181 Swan Lake Road, Glendora, failed to appear, found guilty of no driver’s license, fine/fees $310.50
Court records show that 23 other charges against nine individuals were dismissed by the court for lack of prosecution after four officers who wrote the initial citations in those cases failed to appear in court. Among the dismissed charges were aggravated assault, domestic violence, DUI, reckless driving, driving while license suspended, DUI other substance, simple assault and a variety of alleged traffic violations.
