State Rep. Tracey Rosebud, a Democrat representing House District 30, including all of Tallahatchie County, has been named by Mississippi Speaker of the House Jason White, a Republican, to serve as a member of a new “Education Freedom” select committee.
White said education freedom will be the top priority in the House of Representatives for the 2026 legislation session, noting that this committee will be studying the topic as part of preparations for the session.
“We are committed to transforming the educational landscape in Mississippi to ensure that every child in our state has access to an education that caters to their unique needs and aspirations,” White added.
