GRENADA — Rosie McGarrity Wilson, age 82, of Grenada, passed away peacefully at Azalea Commons in Cleveland Wednesday, July 16.
A graveside service will be held at Grenada Memorial Gardens 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, with Rev J. Barry Worrell officiating.
She was born in Tallahatchie County on November 21, 1942. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benford “Pete” and Floy Kerr McGarrity; her brother, Benford McGarrity, Jr.; her sister, JoAnn Williams; her daughter, Patricia Annette Wilson; and her grandson, Michael Bradley Wilson.
She is survived by her two sisters, Dot Baker of Grenada and Maggie White (Bill) of Madison; her two sons, Jack Wilson (Amelia) of Grenada and Jeff Wilson (Lynne) of Winona; her five grandchildren, Benji Wilson (Alyssa), Caitlin Wilson, Amy McCarley (Paul), Andrew Wilson (Raymie), and Charlie Wilson; and her two great-grandchildren, Kobi and Giles McCarley.
She was a loving mother and Granny to her six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was a former employee of Pennaco Hosiery and Heatcraft in Grenada. She was a very devoted Christian and member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
McKibben and Guinn Funeral Services in Grenada was in charge of arrangements.
