SNEADS, Fla. — Sara Catherine Shelton, age 92, formerly of Charleston and retired nurse, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 12.
A celebration of her life was held 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 15, at McAlpin Funeral Home in Sneads with interment following in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin E. “Gene” Shelton, Sr.
She is survived by her children, Debbie Shelton Brannan, Alvin E. Shelton Jr. and Edwin H. Shelton; 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
