Dec. 19 reception to honor Tutwiler's Maureen Delaney

TUTWILER — A farewell reception for Sister Maureen Delaney is set for Saturday, Dec. 19.

The event, which is open to the public, will be held from 3-5 p.m. at the Tutwiler Community Education Center (TCEC), 301 Hancock St.

Tutwiler benefit basketball Saturday

TUTWILER — The Tutwiler Community Education Center gym will be a busy place Saturday beginning at 6 p.m., when the annual TCEC benefit basketball games get underway.

Peewee teams from Tutwiler will be playing, as will adult teams from the area.

Admission is $3 to enjoy the fun all evening.
